Mowery & Schoenfeld is seeking a friendly and ambitious IT Support Specialist to help support the day-to-day running of our organization. As a Support Specialist, you will be responsible as the first line of response for various forms of technical support, maintenance and troubleshooting of the Firm’s IT infrastructure and end user workstations. Your keen understanding of computer hardware, software, networking and general application use will render you a critical and valued member of the team!


General responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist include responding to support tickets, workstation deployment and end user support (Windows), documentation of issues and executed solutions, and after-hours emergency support as needed. The IT Support Specialist will also assist with new hire onboarding and assist with the development of programming/maintenance of employee training programs to support computing productivity and communication.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in troubleshooting and supporting desktop operating systems including Windows, Android, iOS, Windows Server, and associated technology solutions. Knowledge of MAC operating systems is a plus.
  • Strong diagnosis skills, working knowledge of diagnostic utilities for desktop support issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Application support experience.
  • Ability to work remotely from home/remote office with limited disruptions and maintain a strong work ethic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to constantly improve and expand skill set.
  • Ability to travel to other office locations for on-site support as needed.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:

  • Minimum A.S. degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent work experience).
  • Technical certifications in Desktop and/or Server support are preferred.
  • Proficient in Office/Microsoft 365, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2016.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud-based applications (Office 365 Admin Portal and Alerting monitoring, Azure, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Familiarity with SQL, Sharefile, Mimecast, and LastPass a plus.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Hybrid home/remote office position (3+ days/week ideally, one day needing to be Friday.
  • Hours: 7-4pm or 8-5pm with some flexibility. 
  • Due to being in CPA (Accounting Firm) there will be times where possible evening or weekend hours will be needed depending on assigned tasks, maintenance windows, emergency or seasonal coverage. 
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Working transportation and insurance.
  • Ability to pass a criminal and financial background check.
